This project, being managed by Fluor Techint, required some innovative engineering solutions to cater for the installation and working conditions at high altitude such as lack of oxygen, freezing temperatures and 160 km/hr winds.
This is the largest value order placed on Delkor South America and includes thickeners from 34 to 62m in Stainless Steel and Rubber & Polyurethane lined Mild Steel. The project will use the latest Delkor Drives and the Delkor’s unique feedwell design which allows high dilution volumes, efficient mixing and stilling plus it incorporates scum recovery system. This feedwell design has a proven track record of reduced flocculant consumption, a factor that is highly important for any high tonnage application.
