This position requires excellent communication skills, strong client focus and a genuine desire to sell.
Professionally the successful candidate must have a relevant qualification in Chemical / Metallurgical / Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years post-graduation experience. Good interpersonal skills with experience in marketing and sales are essential. Industrial experience, including slurry handling and/or solid/liquid separation would be beneficial. Computer literacy in the MS Office suite is essential.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
• Visit customers and generating leads from new contacts.
• Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies in the Asia Pacific territory for particular clients and products.
• Report on status of sales leads and enquiries for the designated territory or client base
• Tender preparation/presentation and follow-up leading to Contract negotiations.
• Assist and implement marketing plans, evaluation of new applications and new products.
• Costing and estimating of company products.
• Provide technical support for other parts of the Delkor group, and its agents.
• Preparation of Hand Over documents to contracts department advises contracts on process requirements and prepares process section of Operating Manuals.
• Perform laboratory and pilot scale test work and prepare test work reports, present results to client.
• Process commissioning after mechanical completion, prepares commissioning reports and client liaison after start-up.
• Actively promote company image (liaison with customers, suppliers and media). Exhibition work, attend seminars.
• Proactively promote spares sales in association with the Spares department and Customer Support Manager.
• Establish and maintain Service and Maintenance Contracts in association with the Customer Support Managers.
• Report on quality problems and improvement ideas.
